UG Eligibility
Candidates seeking admission to undergraduate programmes must have passed the Higher Secondary Course conducted by the Government of Tamil Nadu or any examination recognized as equivalent by Annamalai University. Admission is considered according to university norms, programme suitability, and the availability of seats. Subject background is important in selected science and computer-oriented courses, where prior study in mathematics or relevant science subjects strengthens readiness for the programme.
PG Eligibility
Applicants for postgraduate programmes must hold a relevant undergraduate degree from Annamalai University or any university recognized as equivalent. Eligibility is linked to the academic discipline chosen and the university's current regulations for programme entry.

- M.S.W Social Work: any recognized undergraduate degree under norms.
- M.Sc Chemistry: B.Sc Chemistry or equivalent.
- M.Sc Mathematics: B.Sc Mathematics or equivalent.
- M.Sc Computer Science: B.Sc Computer Science / BCA / equivalent.
Additional PG & Ph.D Routes
- M.Com: B.Com / BBA / equivalent commerce or management degree.

Important Admission Notes
The upper age limit for UG degree courses is 21 years as on 1 July of the academic year, with relaxation up to 5 years for differently abled candidates and where government or university norms apply. Candidates with yoga-related certificate courses may also submit those records for institutional and co-curricular consideration.
